Biography
imagine." Dame Zaha Hadid was the most celebrated architect of her generation and the first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2004. Born in Baghdad in 1950, she founded Zaha Hadid Architects, which has designed some of the world most iconic buildings across six continents.
## Revolutionising Architecture
Hadid's architecture — fluid forms, radical geometries, dissolution of boundaries — challenged every assumption about what buildings could be. From the MAXXI Museum in Rome to the Guangzhou Opera House, her buildings define 21st-century architecture.
