Biography
Melinda French Gates is one of the most consequential philanthropists in human history. Born in Dallas, Texas in 1964, she co-founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has distributed over $60 billion in grants since its inception, becoming the world's largest private charitable foundation. Following her separation from Bill Gates, she founded Pivotal Ventures, an investment and incubation company focused on expanding opportunity for women.
